Welcome to Jack & Mary's blog, started in anticipation of miracle baby, Vanessa. In 2002 we froze five embryos before Mary lost both ovaries to cancer. Four years and much medical drama later, all 5 embryos were thawed and one nestled in to grow! We started this blog in the middle of the high risk pregnancy. Baby Vanessa was born 12/22/06. Then, in July 2009, baby Keenan was born and placed into our arms through open adoption. We love being a family!

- There's been lots of cancer in our family, but this story has a happy ending. We were trying to start our family when Mary was diagnosed with cancer. After having cancer three times, both Jack and Mary are now enjoying good health and parenthood.
Happy Birthday Nessa! Finally Duncan can meet his skating partner in person. Congratulations!
